Priority Power

“Wow factors were included in the design to impress and dazzle potential clients and investors.”

Overview

Priority Power is an energy management, brokerage, procurement, and consulting services firm with established locations throughout the United States. Pouls Hospitality Design was contacted by Priority Power to design their new corporate headquarters in North Texas. Important characteristics requested for the flagship space included a modern, light, and bright space, semi-open concept, and multiple breakout spaces. Due to the nature of the client’s business, the private offices and meeting rooms required custom acoustical control measures to be incorporated into the design. In connection with its explosive growth, Priority Power requested wow factors be included in the design to impress and dazzle potential clients and investors.

The design concept focused on celebrating the history, growth, and future of Priority Power.
Inspiration began with finding beauty in the architectural details of electrical substations and
incorporating that into a modern office environment. The client’s growth can be likened to a
networking matrix with its many locations being interconnected and exchanging vital information
necessary to operate, while the company’s future, moving from traditional into renewable energy
sources is represented by solar and wind power imagery. Throughout the design process thoughtful
consideration was made to the health and well-being of the employees, by designing community
spaces with plenty of room to socially distance while remaining connected to and engaged with the
people and the environment around them.

First Impressions

Custom elements of design are applied to create a wow factor for guests upon entering the reception area. Understanding first impressions are very important for office design, Lisa discovered a company in Poland that manufactures modern modular semi-custom reception counters and desks at a fraction of the cost of other companies. Their counter design was in keeping with the concept of the space, and we were able to save the client a significant amount of money and stay on budget. The end result is stunning.

Before

This preliminary concept sketch is just one example Lisa prepared of an executive office space that would eventually become the final design.

After

A complete modern, light, and bright office design concept was delivered to Priority Power, which now serves as its national headquarters.
